A web & mobile SaaS platform we designed and built for the health & safety sector.

Overview

We partnered with a health & safety provider to build Able Rescue — a compliance platform that helps organizations keep their life-saving equipment and certifications inspection-ready at all times. From a blank slate, we delivered a secure, multi-tenant product spanning web and mobile that tracks AED devices, first aid kits, and staff certifications in one place. What started as a tool to replace spreadsheets became a complete system of record for workplace safety compliance.

The problem

Our client’s customers were managing critical, life-safety compliance on spreadsheets, email reminders, and paper checklists. That approach was risky and impossible to scale:

  • Expiring AED pads, batteries, and certifications slipped through the cracks — often discovered only after they’d lapsed.
  • Safety officers had no single view of compliance across multiple sites.
  • Paper inspections were skipped, lost, or backdated, leaving gaps that only surfaced during audits.
  • Restocking supplies meant slow, untracked phone calls and emails.
  • Every customer had different needs, but there was no flexible product to serve them.

The client needed a partner to turn this fragmented process into a single, trustworthy platform — and to build it to a production-grade, secure standard.

The solution

We designed and engineered Able Rescue as a mobile-first, multi-tenant SaaS platform, built around how safety teams actually work:

  • A live compliance dashboard giving instant visibility into what’s compliant, due soon, or overdue across every site.
  • Safety kit and AED device management with expiry tracking, placement details, and real-time status.
  • Guided, tamper-proof inspections with timestamped histories and role-based sign-off — making audits effortless.
  • QR scan-to-inspect on every asset, so staff can verify or reorder from a phone in seconds.
  • An interactive asset map that geolocates every AED and kit, with clustering for busy sites.
  • In-app supply ordering that replaced manual phone-and-email restocking with tracked, confirmed requests.
  • Configurable modules so the same platform fits single-purpose and full-suite customers.

We built it on a modern, maintainable stack — with security engineered in from day one: multi-tenant data isolation, role-based access, email verification, and a full security audit and hardening pass before launch. Every feature shipped through safe, non-destructive database migrations, so new capabilities reached live customer data with zero downtime or data loss.

Deliverables

  • Deployment tooling & documentation for reliable, repeatable releases
  • A responsive web application for administrators and safety teams

Conclusion

We delivered Able Rescue as a complete, production-ready health & safety compliance platform — a secure, multi-tenant web and mobile application built end-to-end that replaces spreadsheets and paper checklists with a single source of truth for AED devices, first aid kits, and staff certifications. Through live compliance dashboards, guided inspections, QR scan-to-inspect, a geolocated asset map, and in-app supply ordering, we gave organizations the tools to move from reactive to proactive compliance — always inspection-ready, always audit-ready. Engineered on a modern, scalable stack with security hardened in from day one and zero-downtime releases, the platform doesn't just help our client pass audits; it helps their customers protect the people who depend on them.
