One of our customers is an industrial servicing company in Northern Alberta, providing vacuum trucks, chemical transport truck, disposal bins and other equipment needed in the industrial and environmental service sector. The company operates over 20 different pieces of equipment. The previous method of operation involved customers calling for availability of trucks. The process of booking, confirming availability was done by email/phone and business development by in person sales meetings. In order to optimize the sales process, the business required a marketplace application that it could use to list its equipment and make bookings by their customers through a click of a button.
The Solution
Our team developed a multi-platform mobile app and web app for our customer through multiple brain storming meetings, user journey identification and wireframes. The end product allowed the buyers of the service to download the app and have access to the available inventory and automate the booking and inquiring process within the app. The customer also has access to a web based dispatching platform that can be used to confirm all transactions. The solution was developed using a multi-tenant architecture, meaning multiple customers and services providers can create their own accounts and use the system to transact with their respective clients.
